Schaudt CamGrind S - The compact
and extremely versatile With the Schaudt CamGrind S CNC
you can grind camshafts measuring up to 650 mm in length.
The CamGrind S is designed to efficiently machine camshafts.
Non-round surface contours such as polygons, ellipses and free
profiles can be generated very easily and quickly, thanks to the
proven WOP-G. For this, the revolution profiles are automatically
set on the Siemens 840 D.

The Schaudt CamGrind S is designed for use with
a water based emulsion or with neat coolant oil, so that both
conventional corundum or CBN grinding wheels can be used. The
large diameter of the grinding wheel measuring 600 mm guarantees a
long tool service life. The
mineral cast machine bed has optimum damping
characteristics and maximum thermal stability. The hydrostatic
guide-way of the X-axis†
together with the digital drive enable high-precision positioning
of the tool spindle with the same high life cycle. This guarantees
highly precise grinding results – even in the case of HSP
grinding.
