  CombiGrind V

Schaudt CombiGrind V

The highest flexibility, economic efficiency and precision can be achieved only by means of an exceptionally well thought out concept of machines based on reliable system solutions and components.

Depending on your workpiece and the required grinding and turning operations, the Schaudt CombiGrind V can be equipped with several different machining stations. The CombiGrind VS is the right choice for up to two grinding or turning operations. It is fitted with X-axis stroke of 1,050mm.

CombiGrind VM is the right choice for workpieces that need complete machining using more than two grinding and turning operations. In certain cases, even up to five machining stations can be integrated in the CombiGrind VM, thanks to the 1,750 mm long X-axis stroke. In this manner, two stations for hard turning and one station each for internal and external grinding can be combined.

Both versions of CombiGrind V are equipped with a standard chuck diameter of 315mm. The construction of the machine and the tooling options are the same for both versions of CombiGrind V.

The machine bed is made of the cast mineral composite 'Granitan'.  The high level of precision of the CombiGrind V is based on the machine bed which through an excellent dampening effect and optimised thermal stability this guarantees high process stability. Both of the axial slides are guided hydrostatically which ensures high precision when positioning the workpiece and long service life.

The Schaudt CombiGrind V CNC has workpiece pick-up included as standard. By positioning the spindle of the workpiece vertically, the standard available pick-up can collect the workpieces from the pick-up position and place them again after machining is completed. The workpiece storage system enables simple integration into existing handling systems. And all this is achieved with minimal space requirements.

Several machining systems such as tool blocks, tool revolvers, internal and external grinding units as well as high frequency dressing spindles are available for processing workpieces. These systems can be used to obtain the desired optimised machining sequences.
