For years, Studer has been well known for is practice-orientated control software. From simple programming with pictograms to a set-up philosophy which considerably reduces set-up times and help functions for process control, both beginners and experienced users can navigate their way quickly and easily.

The software concept is consciously designed as a modular system. This makes it possible to equip all machines with the same user interface. This ensures compatibility as well as short introductory and learning processes. More than 2000 users worldwide regularly require new functions for the system, making it without a doubt the leading grinding system on the market. Machines already supplied are not excluded from these new further developments. Thanks to the modular design and high degree of reverse compatibility, it is also possible to upgrade older systems.

Intelligence for your grinding machine

The grinding machine is perfect. Your requirements are clear. The control software developed by Studer creates an ingenious link between the operator's actual requirements and precise execution on the machine. The focus here is on ergonomic operation and easy programming. Process monitoring and control are basic prerequisites for reliable and productive machining, without making any concessions with regard to diversity of options.

Fast and reliable set-up

Set-up and re-setting times have a decisive influence on a machine's economic efficiency. Thanks to the well thought out set-up software 'Quick-Set', re-setting times are reduced by up to 90%. The core of this set-up concept is the length positioning probe on the wheelhead. This is used to measure the grinding wheels directly on the machine. In this way, the grinding wheel can be put to work precisely, even at varying angles, without any additional set-up work being necessary. This does away with the often tricky initial grinding process when changing to a different workpiece. A simple approach with the length positioning probe is sufficient and the production can then be continued.

The operator is of course, guided through the entire set-up and re-setting processes via a transparent user-friendly interface.
