Fritz Studer AG logo with Art of Grinding text

In 1912, Fritz Studer entered the market and the development of grinding technology progressed very rapidly indeed. While the first cylindrical grinding machine was used for the company's own needs in the mechanical workshop, the further development of it, the OA model, caused a sensation on the market. The OB universal cylindrical grinding machine was a long running success for over 40 years.

In order to get grinding technology where it is today - through research, persistence, plus constant development and innovation. It was no accident that the former mechanical workshop developed into the leader of the global grinding market. This development has not stopped.

Just as Studer has made history in the grinding sector since 1912, they will continue to advance and perfect 'The Art of Grinding' in the years and decades to come. That is their commitment to progress and the perfect grinding technology.

1912
Studer has been seriously influencing the history of grinding since 1912. From a small company at that time Studer has developed into an international enterprise which today employs 500 people. Their position as industry leader is thanks to the know-how they have acquired through manufacturing more than 16,000 machines. The pioneering spirit of that era is also reflected in their product range today.
