Standard Dressing Tools
We have a standard range of dressing tools to fit many
different types of machine tool, a selection of which can been
seen below. If any of our standard tools will not do the job
then we can work with you to design and manufacture a dressing
tool to meet your exact requirements.
If you would like any more
information on any of our standard Natural Diamond or
Synthetic (PCD, CVD, MCD) dressing tools or if you would like
to discuss any individual requirements then please
contact us.

Single Point Dressing Tools
|
 |
| Okuma
type Cone Point Dressing Tool
Okuma type or D5 cone point
dressing tool. These tools can be manufactured from
natural diamonds or CVD (Chemical Vapour Deposit) inserts.
This style of dressing tool
can be used to form dress concave and/or convex forms into
all sizes of grinding wheels. The weight and type of
diamond is chosen to suit the application requirements,
with the CVD inserts being more suited to profiling
smaller wheels having a medium to soft bond.
Various angles and radii
sizes can be produced on the diamond and the tools are
used extensively on CNC and manual grinding machines.
These tools are serviceable and we offer a full re-lap /
regrind service.

 |
| Full Ball Radius
Dressing Tool
Our full ball radius
dressing tool is for plunge forming a concave radius into
of a grinding wheel. Featuring a 180 degree perfect ball
point, it is possible to form an accurate, concave radius
even after the diamond has worn just by merely turning the
tool in its holder.
This type of tool is
perfect for dressing small precise forms especially on
manual / conventional grinding machines where either the
required form is too small for a radius dressing
attachment or fast dressing of very accurate forms is
required |
|
 |
| Multipoint Disc
Dressing Tool
Multipoint Disc dressers are normally used
on smaller grinding wheels on internal grinding machines.
The diamonds are set evenly in rows across the periphery
of the disc. First class needle shape diamonds are used,
set in a special sintered bond.
Multipoint disc dresser are perfectly
simple to use. Its operation is basically the same as that
of a single point diamond dresser except that, after each
row of diamonds has been used, new
points
can be put into operation simply by rotating the disc
slightly.
An ample supply of coolant and depth of
cut of 0.02 - 0.03 mm. max for long tool life. Multipoint
disc dressers can be used at any
angle and therefore in any application. |
|
 |
| Multipoint Chisel
Dressing Tool Multipoint
chisel dressers are similar to the multipoint disc
dressing tools but used more for profile dressing as these
tools have defined angles and a defined radius on them.
The diamonds are set evenly in rows across the periphery
of the disc.
The angles and radii on the discs can be
manufactured to meet specific customer requests. |

 |
| Natural diamond
single point dressing tools
We can supply a full range of
single point dressing tools to meet any requirements. we can
use natural diamonds from a 1/4 carat up to a 3 carat in
various grades ranging from A to D depending on your needs.
These single point dressing tools
can be mounted in any type of shank to suit your individual
requirements.
We can also offer a full re-set
service where we will set the diamond into either the existing
or a new shank exposing a new point. We can also re-lap tools
with new facets if required. |

Studer type Chisel Dressing Tool
Studer type chisel dressing tool.
Our standard stocked dressing tool has a 0.50 carat High Quality Natural Maccle
Diamond, with a 55 degree chisel angle. The most common and
stocked lapped
radius sizes are 0.125mm, 0.250mm or 0.500mm.
To fit onto your
Studer machine the tools are mounted on a short MT1 shank.
These tools are serviceable and we offer a full re-lap /
regrind service.

|
 |
| Studer type CVD Log
Fliese Dressing Tool
Studer type CVD (Chemical
Vapour Deposit)
log Fliese dressing tool. This has a CVD log set on centre
and has either a 0.125mm or
0.250mm lapped radius. Log size 3mm x 1mm x 6mm.
These
tools are serviceable and we offer a full re-lap / regrind
service. |
Studer type CVD
log Fliese dressing tool. This has a CVD log set on centre with a 0.500mm lapped radius.
Log size 3mm x 3mm x 2mm.These tools are serviceable and
we offer a full re-lap / regrind service. |

Studer type Cone Dressing Tool
(with extraction thread)
Studer type Cone dressing tool.
Our standard stocked dressing tool has a high quality 1/4 carat Natural, Long
Diamond with a 60 degree Cone point. The standard tools come with 0.125mm, 0.250mm, 0.400mm or
0.500mm radius mounted on short MT1 shank with extraction thread
to fit straight onto your Studer machine.
These tools are serviceable and we
offer a full re-lap / regrind service. We can also make these
tools using various diamond carat sizes if required.

Cluster Type Dressing Tools
|
 |
| Hand-held natural
diamond cluster dressing tool
Hand-held natural diamond cluster dressing
tools are a simple but effective way of dressing your off
hand grinding wheels. Used by hand the course diamond grit
enables a clean none chatter method of de-clogging your
grinding wheel.
The depth of impregnated diamond affords a
longer life of the tool exposing fresh layers of diamond
as the older worn diamonds fall out. |
|
 |
|
Rotary natural diamond cluster dressing
tool
The rotary natural diamond cluster dressing
tool is similar to the above
Multipoint Disc dressers only rather than a single point
dress, these are set with quality diamond longs, impregnating
the whole diameter of the disc for a more uniform dress.
Its operation is basically the same as that of
a single cluster dresser except that, after each row of
diamonds has been used, new impregnated sections can be put
into operation simply by rotating the disc slightly.

 |
|
KL13 cluster type dressing
tool
Our KL13 cluster type dressing
tool has 5 rows of 13 equi-spaced high quality natural
diamonds which means that when one layer has been worn the
next layer beneath can be exposed.
We have several variation on this
tool containing different numbers and carat sizes of natural
diamond such as our KL3 & KL5.
We can of course manufacture this
type of tool using the quantity and size of diamonds required
to suit your own application or budget.

Studer type Needle / Grain Fliese Blade
Dressing Tool
Studer type Fliese blade
dressing tools can come with either high quality natural
diamond needles or natural diamond grains and standard tools
have either 10mm or 15mm wide Fliese Blade with 10mm or 15mm depth of
diamond mesh.
We keep a stock of various types
and sizes but we can also manufacture this style of tool to
suit individual requirements.
Our standard tools are mounted on a short MT1 shank to fit onto your
Studer cylindrical grinding machine |

 |
| Natural diamond
grit dressing tool
The cylindrical diamond grit
dressing tool is used primarily for centerless,
surface and cylindrical grinding, our natural Diamond Grit
dressing tools offer the advantage uniformly distributed
diamond points continuously exposed as the tool wears.
Grit tools give marked
improvements to production efficiency by eliminating down-time
due to the fact that you do not need to turn or reset the
tools and through faster truing and dressing. Used for
straight traverse dressing AGS Diamond Grit Tools can be
supplied with a coarse, medium or fine grit mesh as shown in
the chart below.
It is also possible to make these
natural diamond grit dressing tools in various shapes and
sizes as shown in the other example pictures.
